Trauma Symposium 2022 Trauma case Study: From Prehospital to Rehabilitation Ryder Heuston

Trauma case review and panel discussion of a young teenager who was critically injured on the ski slopes of Colorado. This discussion will include his initial care in the prehospital environment to his hospitalization and rehabilitation.

RNs, Prehospital EMS, and Physicians, Residents, and health care workers.

  1. Discuss the patient’s case study from prehospital to inpatient rehab and years beyond.
  2. Examine any opportunities for improvement in his care and discuss what went well, from both the patient and the parent’s perspective.
  3. Describe the post hospitalization inpatient rehab process and how it impacts his life today.
