Discussion and presentation of surgical interventions for long bone injuries such as femurs, humerus, and tibia/fibula. Review of compartment syndrome and how to recognize signs and symptoms of this limb threat. Discussion to improve agency care with different splinting techniques and identifying triggers for hailing appropriate patient transportation (life-flight helicopter vs ALS ambulance).
