Learning Objectives

 Dr Branney Objectives

1) Be able to identify anatomical structures of the lungs including, carina, mainstem branches of bronchi and  bronchiloes in lungs

tubes, lobes of the lungs & alveoli 

2) Be able to describe the importance of appropriate manual ventilation for the lungs using PEEP in the respiratory compromised patient, 

3) Identify the structure of the heart including left & right ventricles & atria, location of cardiac arteries and veins, name location of heart valves and their importance   

4) Be able to describe the importance of identifying the location of cardiac ischemia as it relates to different blood vessels

5) Be able to describe how the heart and lungs work in conjunction with each other.
