Helicopter Safety and Loading a Patient

The Centura-based helicpoter crew from Lifeguard 2 spoke to our staff about general helicopter safety, creating a safe LZ on the hill or in "backcountry type environments," and the abilities they have on board for patient care. New this year is the addition of the LUCAS device which cab be requested for the transport of a viable patient in cardiac arrest. Discussed patietn demographic needing helicopter transport, bad wather options (Terra 2 ambulance) and whole blood delivery.
