Endocrine Emergencies: Diabetes

This scenario based session focused on the assessment of a diabetic (hypoglycemic) patient. Hands-on practice with a glucometer to obtain a BGL. Discussion about BLS medication administration included oral glucose and IV administration of D50. Medication administration and assessment of altered mental status based on Denver Metro Protocols.
