BLS Medication Administration

This training discussed the Denver Metro Protocols for BLS medication administration. Hands-on practice with materials included: prefilled luer jets, MADs, filter needles, medication in vials and glass ampules, and nebulizers. Discussed the 6 Rights of Medication Administration, indications and contraindications as well as where each medication is located within our agency. Also discussed proper PPE for providers when administering medications and sharps disposal. Additional information provided for IV certified providers.
