Altered Mental Status

Hands-on assessment for altered mental status in scenario based learning environment. Scenario included taking full set of vital signs, BGL with glucometer and discussion/use of the Stroke Scale. Denver Metro Protocols for Universal Altered Mental Status (4010), Seizure (4040), Syncope (4020), Stroke (4030), Drug/Alcohol Intoxication (4070), Hypoglycemia (4050) reviewed. Denver Metro Protocols for Naloxone (9210) and Dextrose (9090) were also reviewed.
